Mysore, India, 2006: After an immediate and profound mystical reaction to her first “Deeksha,” Margaret spontaneously organized her first spiritual event.
She had been a dedicated student for years, but this blessing ignited something in her body that all the countless hours of philosophy and yoga could not— a physical experience of energy.
Living in India to study at the time, she was led to her foundational teachers. She spent 8 years traveling back and forth from NYC to India and Fiji, undergoing deep training, processes and initiations. Ultimately, she was gifted the highest blessing (by the man many consider the embodiment of an Avatar on earth) to share these teachings in her own voice.
The Journey: click on the years to see the details
Back in the city, from 2007-2017 Margaret ran a weekly deeksha blessing meditation in Manhattan.
Thousands came through the doors over the years— in every iteration of person; all were welcomed with open hearts and arms.
Certified as a teacher by the monks in India
Between 2006 and 2014 Margaret underwent several initiations and trainings to be certified as an advanced teacher.
Urban Oneness
After many years of seva (service) and having become known as the NYC Oneness Maven, she founded her own business, Urban Oneness in Manhattan.
Margaret and a rag-tag team produced global retreats, local workshops, masterminds and a myriad of online digital courses.
Divine Femme:
After a year of transformation including several initiations in Peru, in 2016 Margaret launched: DIVINE FEMME: ushering in a new paradigm in reclaiming the feminine.
Margaret had 3 overlapping careers in NYC;
the first as a successful theatre actress and voiceover artist who worked
off-Broadway and in theatres around the country for 20 years.
For 14 years she was a real estate professional both in brokerage
and management for three
of NYC’s top firms,
including being on the ground floor of what’s now
a multi-billion dollar tech startup.
Yet, spiritual work had such a profound effect
in healing her own and others’ generational trauma
(and current drama)
that it organically and eventually
took over all her work and life.
Her theatre and music background give her the skills to create rich,
atmospheric tapestries that bring people on a narrative arc of their
own healing, clarity and understanding in a profoundly unique way…
while business acumen and experience allow Margaret
to understand the needs of sophisticated transactions
and personalities, creating sacred space for all.
Her work has always been non-denominational and does not discriminate; all are welcome.
After 26 years in New York City, she has settled “out east” on Long Island in the Hamptons.
And no bio would be complete without mentioning her alma mater, the University of Michigan. (Go Blue.)
