When dating all of Manhattan and Brooklyn the year before I got pregnant ??, I spent the entire year energetically and spiritual prepping getting ready to have a child.
(Quietly. Because no one wants to hear on a first date: “hey, I’m energetically and spiritually prepping to have a child!!” ?)
It was on my 3rd trip back to India in 2012, that I took an Advanced course with my teachers that initiated me to teach something called “the Art of Parenting.” I kept these techniques and processes in my back pocket, housed in heart and mind, eager to try them out.
But of course, I wasn’t about to teach a course about parenting because I didn’t have children.
For me, the most delish part of that course was the concept of “Calling in the Spirit of Your Child.” ✨
We spend thousands prepping, delivering, sometimes conceiving our children, and how much time (and energy and effort) do we direct toward this child’s energetic and spiritual life before they are born?
As my teachers told us, “Parenting begins before conception.”
As I mentioned last week, I’m excited I’m about to release a small bundle (again, pun intended) that will be videos, MP3’s and written exercises to take people through this process.
It’s my initiated teachings, through my own expansion and spin. I took this beloved concept and skipped with it. The video was recorded when I was 6 months pregnant, and the meditations recently, with this wisdom in practice, behind me. ✨
I absolutely loved being able to delight in Bo in this way, before he arrived. What’s most magical is that I saw and connected to his spirit, 10 months before I even got pregnant.
When we tried— the first time, he was conceived. I don’t think that’s any accident. I was ready, on every energetic level, to have him on this plane.
I dream of a normal where we all can be conscious of our conception and parenting. Because how we do it, and who comes after us, is who will change this world. ✨
