I was away this week in Montauk (at the beach: my fave) with a long time student who has become a dear friend. (That’s me in the pic, pregs, not the friend ;)) One of the other ladies in the house remarked to her— “it’s so great to be around you! You are always so happy!” (A designation of which I myself have been “accused” many times.) She replied, “That’s interesting, because I don’t feel happy all the time, at all.” I, relaxing on the couch, interjected myself into their conversation: In recent years I watched this gorgeous young woman blossom and open from someone who was going through a darker, transitional time, into a woman at the forefront of being a leader in her own right: a walking light being, not to mention grounded, badass and faithfully optimistic in her trust in the Universe. She has changed dramatically, and in her own words: not externally, but her internal world is completely different. And that affects her perception and experience of the external. Whenever anyone asks me what they should or could be doing to change their life, the answer is simple, and its execution, sometimes difficult: Show up. Practice. Aim for meaning as success. The first two foster the 3rd. Practice can be regular events, retreats, working with a teacher, investment in time and energy to remain in a spiritual space. Once can do this for relatively little or make substantial investments, but the results are obvious for those who do the WORK: Your life is clear, and every moment is perceived through the open eyes and heart that others register as HAPPINESS. Practice. Choose a meaningful life. Show up. The world wants us at our best. x These evening events are a way for me to bring some of the content that was workshopped for years in the Mystic Mastermind, at a higher, polished level, and offer them off as “one off” events: for both divine dudes + femmes. For those who want to go deep but a longer commitment for a course is not available or possible. This is the only one left for summer, I hope to see you!
